Mean Max the Jeep Guy Builds Mean Jeeps!

I had the opportunity to meet probably the best Jeep Mechanics in the Treasure Coast.

Mean Max's the Jeep Guy's Shop on the south side of Stuart, Florida is one of those out of the way places a bit difficult to find at first, but once you have visited you don't forget and want to come back.

Henry "Max" the founder and head jeep Mechanic has many years in the Aerospace industry, Jeeps were his hobby for most of his life. In the beginning of the recession Max found himself in a place where many of us on the Treasure Coast have been to... the unemployment line.  Needing to provide for his family, Max choose to take his attention to detail and apply it to his real passion... Building and rebuilding of some great machines.  Max is always busy with a constant line of Jeeps to keep him and his partners busy turning wrenches.

Today there was an older XJ on the rack with the notable Jeep Death Wobble, those of you that have experienced it know how terrible it can be. 

Next a CJ7 was to enter the lift for some routine maintenance.

But my favorite is the Brand new Jeep Wrangler with less than 2k miles, turned into a secret rock crawler, from the outside it looks like any other Jeep Wrangler with a few choice Jeep Accessories. This 2012 Jeep has about 12k in upgrades, removing the weak areas in the stock version. Custom made skid plates completes the build out. I am hoping to see it one more time up on the lift, so Max can tell us more about what was accomplished.
